Up for bid is a 1973 Volkswagan Karmann Ghia with Automatic stick. I bought it off of ebay in 2008 from a guy from Rhode Island with only 52,530 miles. I'm the second owner and only put 2 to 5 miles on this car. It did run, it seems to idle high when it first came here but doesn't now run since it has set for almost two years and now needs a battery and will need brake work too . This car is being sold as is and is in need of restoration or could be sold as parts. The issues are rust spots in both front headlights, rust that runs around all of the bottom of the car, rust in the fender areas, bottoms of door, some rust on bumper, as well. When it was in Rhode Island the driver window was smashed out by vandals. This and the driver's door will need repair due to this incident. The car has been kept in a car port since I had it. The interior is in fair condition, dash has 2 cracks but not bad for age, seats and panels are very clean. NO RESERVE , SOLD AS IS. I dont have time nor money to restore this car.
