FOR SALE is a two door 79 Chevy Malibu Landau. I owned it since 2004. I am selling it because it has spent much of the last 2 years in the garage. Mechanical: Tires good. See all replaced items below. Original 267 V8 engine starts and runs fine. Sears recently (9/2010) checked alignment and after a new tie-rod end it lined up fine. Tranny was a little slow responding when cold in reverse. The car comes with a doughnut and full size spare on a rally wheel. Rear frame in good shape, no indication of rear bumper being hit. I believe you could easily drive this car home, even across the country if you flew in to pick up. Thats how I got it! Interior: I did some factory upgrades but car has not been hacked. I did install some small tweeters in the plastic molding on each side of front window and speakers in kick panels. I have spare molding and I believe kick panels that are included in the extra parts if you want to replace them. The interior is in excellent condition being from 1979 and I looked at many Malibu's before I bought this one. There is one minor tear forming in drivers side seat and some plastic interior pieces that have some some sun weathering. I am including many great looking interior pieces with the deal. Dash is excellent no tears and no cuts made. Car comes from a non-smoking owner and was before me. Exterior: This Malibu is the Landau trim with the half vinyl top and matching wheel color. Exterior in good shape. Paint shows well but not perfect. You have to look hard to see any evidence of rust. A nit picker will always find something wrong. Does have minor scratches and dings as it was a daily driver. Not seeing GM door sag. Many extra parts come with it that I snagged when at the yards. Extra chrome pieces, drivers side door glass, new air filter, new oil filter, plastic interior and exterior pieces. Very clean car that turns heads because of it's condition. Upgraded: -AM/FM Stereo digital tuning GM radio, upgraded option in the day, speakers on the back deck (cassette runs fast but I only use it to plug in the converter that lets you plug into a cd or mp3 player) -Hidden key-less locks on doors and trunk with remote (no inside switches, actuators inside door and trunk, only one remote but will look for other one) -New Paint job a few years ago, good presentable condition -Cross bars in engine compartment Replaced: within last 4 years or as stated:(years are approximate, it was daily driver so when it broke I fixed it) Water Pump (2005) Radiator (Heavy duty, more rows than the original one) Blower motor (was original) Shocks (2005, they were original factory ones) Battery (2008) Alternator Belts Hoses (a spare included) Valve cover gaskets (2004) Tires Master cylinder Power steering hoses Dome light cover Cat (2008) Converted AC to new Freon, doesn't seem as cold but blows cool.
