This is a NO RESERVE Private Party Listing! This is a very special and historic vehicle for many reasons. It was the only hand-built exotic made by BMW in recent years. The Alpina version is superior to the standard Z8 models, due to the additional power and handling package, automatic step-tronic transmission, larger 19" wheels and additional body styling. The Alpina ran into such cost overruns that BMW lost money in order to produce them than the sticker price! Nonetheless, the Alpina has the perfect balance of form and function. It is exotic and collectible, but not ostentatious. It is the epitomy of BMW’s slogan and truly is “The Ultimate Driving Machine.” I simply don't have the room or the eloquence to properly sing its praises, so I will stop here. I acquired this car after years of admiration, careful research and patience for the right car to become available in the perfect color combination. I purchased my dream car in the Summer of 2007. I had it thoroughly examined by an independent inspector prior to purchase. It was shipped to me by a covered flatbed transport directly to my home. Needless to say, I have enjoyed my time with this car immensley. One of my sons is now a tween and my twins are turning seven this year, not surprisingly, our garage space has shrunk, and this is my primary reason for the decision to sell this beauty. My only regret is that I did not drive it more often. I have only put 2,000 miles on this car since I have owned it, and I would drive it even less if was in storage so it seems counter intuitive having to put it into storage if I end up keeping it. We would move to a house with a larger garage, but this is impractical. There were only 555 Alpina Z8 models produced, This is #177, a very lucky number indeed. I am the second owner of this car. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a very rare and beautiful collectible vehicle that has obviously been pampered throughout its life. The car is in impeccable condition. There are absolutely no dings or scratches inside or outside. The car is running flawlessly and I have serviced it solely by my local BMW Dealer at Southbay BMW. I have never used the soft top, and it appears brand new, I put it up for the first time to show the condition for these photos. I have the complete service history from BMW during my ownership as well as the previous visits that my dealer printed for me.
