Vehicle Detail

Just what you've been looking for! A 1973 Vw Bus in running and driving condition, virtually rust free and solid body! I got this a couple months ago with my brother-in-law as an easy project, and we both lost interest in this one (as he has a new baby, and I am now working two jobs!). Anyway... Items of a positive note: -Body- nice body with, I believe to be, original paint throughout. Both bumpers included. No major bodywork needed at all. Nice undercarriage. All windows nice. -Engine- excellent running with low-miles (I was told less than 20,000 miles) on rebuild. I believe its a 1.8 liter. It has a near new, single Weber progressive carb. -Interior- nice comfortable interior. Good carpet, panels, and dash. Brand new seat stand mats! Nice walk through mat.Not a professional shop job, but quite nice! -Other- Tires are near new, brakes are good, horn works (lol), and I drive it every day!!!! Items needing attention at some time: -seat pedastal mats need replacement (like I said above, seat stand mats are new!). -front seats need new upholstry (but have good new universal seat covers for now.) -transmission shifts well, but often pops out of first gear (could be just a shiftplate adjustment). -rear bumper could use a bit of minor bodywork and repaint before putting back on. -paint looks good in pics, but is quite thin and scratched in places (just being honest!). Oh yeah, and someone at some point painted the whole thing with black water-based paint (I guess for a parade or something?) and there is still a bit of it on the roof that didnt get scrubbed off. It takes some elbow grease, but it does wash off. -title is still in previous owner's name, but insurance is in mine. (needs transfer from Oregon title.). Clean title though and signed pinkslip in hand. -dash instrument lights dont illuminate for some reason,( could be just need new bulbs!) -no stereo. I can help with a transport company ONLY if buyer sets up all arrangements! I can be available to help a person load onto trailer etc... If you wanted to drive it home, or hire a transport driver, I would think it would make it anywhere in the country without a problem (but I cannot offer a guarantee or warranty on the vehicle). Like I said, I drive it everyday (freeway often), but have never taken it on more than an hour trip out of town. Well, I hope that is a clear enough description for ya... please check out all the pics and then bid...bid...bid!!!! On Sep-01-10 at 21:35:25 PDT, seller added the following information:Sorry... just wanted to add a few items so buyer has no surprises... bus is also missing front VW emblem ($25), front cab rubber step pads (not expensive), and the highbeam switch doesnt work. Peace!
