Vehicle Detail
Ford F-100 Ranger Short bed. I bought this truck a year ago and have done some motor tune up, wheel bearings and brake work. It is solid enough to be a daily driver. I have tried to list extensively everything about the truck but feel free to ask away. I am simply selling it because it is not practical to haul mulch and use in a utilitarian way - it is nice enough to show. 1978 Ford Body with 1989 Ford 460 big block. Engine was totally rebuilt (have documentation of all parts that went into it) back in 2008. I have not put enough miles to change the oil since I have owned it. Not having AC and living in TN is the issue with that. It has Holley 800 series Street Avenger Carb, Weiland Headers, Ford SVO manifold covers. Power brakes and power steering that replicate a new truck - it steers and brakes wonderfully. Has American Racing Anniversary wheels with excellent treaded BF TA Radials. Interior is hands down the best part. Seat, header and floor have been completely restored. Has matching dash (red) with new dash (oem) cover. Has added tach, cd with amp, Pioneer speakers and Memphis Sub behind seat. Has middle seat belt as well as side shoulder belts. Sounds absolutely incredible - similar to a stock car with a mild cam. Truck is not absolutely perfect - paint is very good, but does have a few small (pencil eraser size) marks that could use touchup. All lights, heat, dimmers work. Front and rear bumpers are new, front grill surround clip needs to be polished to be perfect, but is in very good condition while front grill insert is new. Headlights and surrounds are new. Truck was hit and repaired before the restoration so there are some additional weld marks under the hood and at the bottom of the right passenger door - from the outside, these have obviously been corrected. Bottom line, it's the opportunity to get a great deal on a truck that is dependable, needs nothing mechanically, and with a little more time could be a perfect show truck. As it is now, it can be taken to a car show and people will look at it and state it is a very nice truck - shiny, clean, never driven in rain, always garaged. Bed is LineX'ed so it is near perfect as well. I would be happy for anyone to drive it, look it over from top to bottom - I did that before I purchased it - it is better than the pictures. I have set the reserve for far lower than what is was easily insured for as an antique.
