1989 Volkswagen Jetta diesel with 5 speed manual transmission. This car is dark blue and overall the car looks good with no major body damage only a couple small dings, and paint chips. There isn't any visible rust on it. The interior is blue. The seats are faded from the sun. There are a few trim pieces missing, such as the drivers door handle trim and the plastic triangle in front of the drivers window. the car runs fine with no smoke (except you get a little black smoke when you press hard on the gas to accelerate). The engine could use a tune up i think because it has some hesitation when the engine is cold (the hesitation goes away when it gets up to temp). The engine does not use any oil. I just installed new fuel lines between the injectors because they were starting to seep fuel. The car shows 307,000 miles on the odometer. Missing: 1 hub cap. A couple small trim pieces on the drivers door. Extras: Air conditioning (not working needs recharged). Tires are in inspectable condition. Brakes work good. Previous owner has installed a temp gauge and an oil pressure gauge in the dash that both work. New radio with mp3 plug. New $140.00 alternator just installed. New fuel filter installed. Fresh oil change. Good inspection. I have driven this car for 3 months now back and forth to work which is a 60 mile round trip. The car has never left me sit. The engine is a diesel with no turbo, so the car is not a power house, but it is very good on fuel. I am selling the car because I would like to get something a little newer . I think the car will need a new light switch, as the dimmer part of the switch is worn out and starting to short out dash lights and make the turn signal buzzer ding sometimes. The car needs a fiew little things, like the light switch that i do not have time to deal with as i work two jobs and do not have time to deal with car repairs. Needs a new home...
