You are bidding on a California car that has been in Central Oregon for the last eight months. It appears to be rust free and has a very straight body. The paint is good, but has a few cracks in front of the hatch and on the right side between the hatch and the quarter window. The interior is in good condition as seen in the photos. I have replaced the dash and the center console and rewired the am/fm/cd from a two speaker system to a four speaker. The interior panels and the seats have been refurbished. The front carpet is in excellent shape and the rear is okay, and I have new carpeting to replace it, but have not got around to doing it. The engine is in good shape having had a tune-up and service less that fifty miles ago, new plugs, etc. It does not smoke and drives well. All the gauges are working except the clock. Does a Z clock ever work? With the new dash, I replaced all the gauges, but the temp gauge works intermittently (which it did with the old gauge) so I believe the problem is in the sending unit. The odometer reads 78113 miles, but true miles (rollovers) is anyone's guess. While the heater core is good, the heater does not work as it is missing a heater control valve. I purchased one on line and got scammed for 95 bucks. They are available on Ebay for much less. I bought this Z (from a GI in Van Nuys, CA who was headed for another tour of duty) thinking of the 240Z I had back in the 70's, but I had forgotten why I sold it, I sit too tall and rub my head on the headliner. Also, I have been in the hospital four times since January and it is time to sell the Z as we are downsizing. If you have any questions, call me at 541-420-6003. Thanks for looking !
