The small bikes are becoming more and more desirable to some collectors and you would be hard pressed to find a better example of a Suzuki Prospector than this one. This bike is all original right down to the tires and the license plate and everything works. It's been meticulously maintained and stored inside since new and it's doubtful it's ever seen rain. I know it hasn't since I've owned it and I'm the second owner. The engine cases have never been apart and it looks like it did when it came off the showroom floor. It burns a little more oil than it needs to but rather than bung up the screw heads I never adjusted it. I'd rather it used too much oil than not enough and it's not like it's a daily rider anyway. It's easier to tell what's wrong with the bike rather than what's right with it so here it is: as I said, the tires are original and the sidewalls are a little age cracked but still hold air over the winter. The rear turn signals were removed and rather than pop the seat and unplug them they were cut. I couldn't find the original connectors so I spliced them with a crimp connector. There's a dimple so small that I couldn't get a picture of it on the right side of the tank. You have to look for it to see it. The right side cover has a 3/4" crack near the top screw that's been repaired from the inside. These covers are still available but it wasn't that important to me. The plastics covers on the ends of the brake and clutch levers are scratched up from moving it around in the shed. That's it. Everything else is as close to perfect as a used bike can get. Very little wear on anything. There's a few more miles on it than the picture shows because it's been ridden since then and, because it for sale locally also, may get a few more on it if a potential buyer wants to ride it. Payment is required within 7 days of sale and shipping is the buyers responsibilty of course. Cash is preferred but a certified check works too.
