Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 For auction is my 2003 Boxer Cup Replika. I have owned this bike now for several years and it has been one of my favorite road bikes of all time. Of course, if you are reading this you know the Boxer Cup and how great of a blend of sport bike and sport touring bike that it is. I have added several aftermarket parts that improve performance and looks. It is with much reservation that I have decided to let her go. I simply don’t have the time to ride her much and space is also very limited alongside other bikes and cars. The machine has Scorpion exhaust with cat converter removed. It has a great low and throaty sound without being loud. I added Ohlins rear AND front shocks for the bike. I removed the Randy Mamola signature decals from the fairing as I found it unattractive and broke up the great lines of the chequered flag graphics and blue and white color scheme. I just checked with my local BMW dealer and those decals are available if one would want to place them back on the bike. I also chose to not run the bike with the belly pan on it as I thought it made the bike look bulkier and since I change my oil so frequently it was much less work to just leave it off. I have a photo or two so you can see it is intact. It has the usual linear scratches on the belly that cant be seen when mounted. I also bought an aftermarket carbon fiber rear hugger that I used for a while but decided to take off. It is included to the winning bidder if you want it. I also added a billet aluminum strut arm from San Jose BMW. It raises the rear and created a much easier in turn feeling in curves. That strut combined with the Ohlins front and rear changes the character of this bike dramatically. I have had several R 1100s machines and have many hours of track time on a similar model (this one has never been tracked or raced) and attest to the major difference in handling. This machine is not perfect. As noted it has a salvage title. I bought it front a friend who is in the business and bought it from the insurance company. As is typical with high end Euro bikes once they fall over the bodywork costs quickly summate and a total loss is very easy to calculate. That is the case with this machine. There are a couple of scratches on the fairing but frankly I was amazed this machine was totaled by the adjuster. In any event, it runs and handles fantastic. It’s a shame it has “the scarlet letter” of the salvage label on the clear Florida title but the machine would never have been believed to ever have been dropped. If this is an issue with you please don’t waste either of our precious time. If you are like me and appreciate the fact that this machine literally had scratches on it then you will be very happy. I am open to offers to purchase the machine directly and I also welcome locals to come by and inspect her. The machine has heated grips but no ABS. I purchased pit bull spools so that I could use the BMW Motorrad USA rear stand (made by pit bull) to remove the rear wheel and or service that bike. The spools and stand are no longer available but I will include them in the sale. I also added a smoke sport shield that I purchased in Germany last year (on the bike in photos) and at that time I also bought a clear one that has never been used. That one will also be included. They look much sportier than the ugly squared off one from stock and frankly they perform even better. There is a fairly new set of Michelin Pilot power tires mounted with about 500 miles on them. I also have passenger pegs for the machine even though they are not mounted. Email me if you have questions.
