This was my first car when I turned 16 in 1979. I bought it from my grandfather who purchased it used in LaPorte, Indiana in 1968. I drove it back and forth to school for a year and have stored it inside since 1980. The engine was overhauled in 1997. The car has a great deal of sentimental value, but needs to find a new home with someone who can spend more time with her. She has some surface rust on the hood and a dent on the right rear quarter panel. There are also some scratches on the right door. The fender skirts are intact and the wheel covers are the original. The weathermolding has dry rot and is in need of repair. The upholstry is original and is in great condition on the passenger and rear seats. The driver seat has some cracks and holes and the original carpet needs to be replaced in the front. This model is a 2-door hardtop with standard equipment. The AM radio, clock and heater / defroster controls don't work. The engine is a Thunderbird 390 Special V8 (300 Horsepower) 4-Barrel Holley carburator/single exhaust system. It needs a new muffler and some brake work. The transmission is a 3 speed automatic and could use a flush but this car can be road ready in short order.
