Vehicle Detail

This is about the best 66 El Camino you will find anywhere for this kind of money. For starters the body is very straight and has almost no rust. The paint is redone in the original Mariner Blue and is faded on the hood and roof. The bed is in excellent condition. Not only is the car very complete but it is also rare to find a fully optioned car (extra factory guages, AC etc) with a 4 speed transmission with original factory console and bucket seats and a 12 bolt posi rear end !! The car looks very nice as it sits on 8 inch by 15 inch rally wheels with chevy hubcaps and chrome trim rings. Adjustable air shocks in the rear. Brakes have been upgraded to power discs in the front. Car has power steering and Hurst shifter. There is a whine in 3rd gear. Exhaust is short headers running back to 3 inch flowmasters and sounds very healthy! Motor is now a 350 with a rebuilt Carter 4 barrell with vaccuum secondaries sitting on an Edelbrock performer aluminum intake. Ignition is MSD 6A box with MSD billet distributor and Jacobs Electronics wires porcelain boots and heat shields. The car has ALL the trim including all the original badges and the fender wheel arch chrome trim which you wont find on most. The drivers bucket seat needs restoring but is complete. The roof lining and dash are in perfect shape. The stereo has some powerful speakers mounted behind the seats. The windshield wipers are not working properly. The car is an original AC car and I have the compressor etc for it. The controls and condenser are all in the car. This is a very solid car and a perfect candidate for some part time restoration and upgrades whilst driving daily or even a full blown makeover!! I bought the car because it has the 4 speed and there's nothing like grabbing gears with a strong V8 and a 3.73 posi rear!! Sadly I must let someone else now enjoy her as my new business demands some cash flow. Buyer pays for shipping. Car is sold as is no warranty. The last owner had the car for 26 years!!! Car comes with a full size dust cover.
