I would call my 1965 SS Impala Convertable a driver grade car. The motor is a 283 that was rebuild before I owned the car and runs great and has no leaks, eather dose the powerglide transmission, I like driving this car and I would not be afraid to go on a big trip with it. I bought this car for my wife as a birthday gift, because she had a new one in 1965 when I meet her and wanted to replace selling hers. She died of cancer before she could drive it, but did ride in it a few times. I have replaced the windshield, put a new top on the car, The interior is original, but has no ripes as well as the door panels. The car only as single exhaust. and no smoke. The car has power steering, no power brakes, New gas tank and sending unit, new brake lines and fuel line,The frame was sanded and painted and in good condition. I bought this car from a dealer in Philadelphia 3 years. The radio did not work so I put a AM-FM in the glove box. I have a 1966 Impala Convertable and with out my wife I do not need to keep her 65.
