Vehicle Detail
I am selling this jeep for my Dad. I have described it as acurately as I know how. My Dad bought this jeep new in 1973 from the then jeep dealer in Cumberland, Wisconsin. My Dad is now 84 years old and has always taken excellent care of everything he has, so the jeep was never abused. It has just under 6900 actual miles on it. It has the original tires, including the spare. They all have some minor age checking, but hold air and drive fine. The pictures show the frame and fender walls looking like new. This vehicle has rarely been on the road and never on salt. The last time it was licensed was in 1981. My Dad used it to maintain his yard, mainly plowing snow. There has been no body work done on this jeep, ever! The right side mirror is missing but the mount is there. The seats both have very minor damage on the front left side as shown in picture. The floor boards have some paint worn off but are otherwise perfect. The inside of the fender walls still have most of the paint on them. There are some minor scratches on the right side of the hood with pictures. The rag top is usable, but the windows on the side doors are sewn shut because the zippers do not work. The left rear side window has been stiched also. The rear of the rag top window is cracked and the zippers do not work, so he just left it rolled up. The jeep has heavy duty suspension and a 258 six cylinder engine to accomodate the snow plow. The carburator was replaced last year. He put a manual choke on it but has all the parts for the original automatic choke. The engine starts and runs excellent. The plow had the electric motor for the lift cylinder replaced last year and works excellent. There are no side angle cylinders but can be angled manually. One steel bracket for the plow has been welded years ago and shown in picture. As far as I know everything on this jeep works well. It runs and shifts and drives fine.
