I have a habit of finding cars in the worst part of town. While riding my bike in a section aptly named "The Lower Bottoms" I came across this Gremlin X resting peacefully on the front lawn of a small house. It had been kicked out of the back yard and just recently landed out front. I contacted the owner who was leaving to Europe and wanted some pocket change for his trip. He was a rockin' dude. I liked him a lot. We struck a deal and I limped the Gremlin X home ASAP. I had a friend who loves these kind of cars and I turned him on to the deal as my stable was already full. Vintage 1971 AMC Gremlin X, 232 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual trans floor shift, 141,000 original miles, Canary Yellow (paint code A2-GX) , 4 seater. This authentic AMC Gremlin X, starts, runs, drives, shifts, charges & stops. A two owner car, have original bill of sale (1971) & service records from '71, manual, and AMC service card. Original AMC 14" Rally wheels w/Volcano caps and original Gremlin X interior package. Turn signals work & return. Recent tune-up: new points, condenser, rotor, cap & new 7mm plug wires. Oil change, HD Fram Oil Filter, new fuel filter & air filter. Upgraded to 1977 AMC 2 barrel Carter carb setup, Intake & Exhaust Manifolds bead blasted, new Remflex Exhaust Manifold gaskets & grade 8 bolts, new exhaust pipe donut gasket, & new turbo muffler. New Master Cylinder, 1@ new wheel cylinder, adjusting kit, springs, brake hose and system bled. Radiator flushed, boiled, re-rodded & pressure tested with new cap & fresh juice, new upper / lower radiator hoses & clamps, new thermostat housing gasket & new heater by-pass hoses. New vacuum hoses & PCV valve.
