Vehicle Detail

Great overall sailboat featuring a Pop Top for more interior headroom. Herreshoff design. Strong fiberglass construction and many accessories. Boat is in good overall condition, but we have not sailed her for the past few years since the birth of our daughter - now with twins on the way it's time to say goodbye to sailing for a little while... There are some surface cracks to the gel coat and the mast step has a bit of fiberglass delamination (see picture). The boat is watertight from the bottom up but dose weep a bit of water from the top - most likely the windows should be re-caulked. The boat does self bail all the way through the cabin which is a great feature. Main & Genoa sail have been replaced and are like new. Trailer is a Dilly Trailer Manufactured in 1977 in good condition. Both Boat & Trailer have clean titles, serial numbers and registration Need a motor? Check out my other auction for a Honda Four Stroke 8HP in perfect condition. From the original manual: GENERAL: Chrysler's outstanding 22' trailerable family sailer, set a new standard for versatility and performance in small cruiser-racers: She sails with amazing stability--a result of her wide 7'9" beam, 3000-lb. displacement and 725-lb. swing keel. Safety for families and racers include foot-gripping deck surfaces, self-bailing cockpit, self-righting capability and foam floatation. She's just right for a family of five, a racing crew of 2-3, or the single-hander. FOR TRAILERING the easily raised swing keel and thru-hull pivot-up rudder keep center of gravity low, provide convenience for loading and launching. The hinged mast step and mast carrier make rigging simple. Her custom trailer saves dockage/storage fees (she'll berth in your backyard), and makes sailing fun mobile. Use it as an on-land camper on your way to and from waterways. FOR CRUISING there's plenty of extra room and comfort. The whole family can rest easy on five 6'3" full-length cushioned berths. Cabin is light and airy with nice windows. Double berth converts to a dinette (also great for charting, youngsters' games). There's storage galore--even special space for an auxiliary outboard tank. The boat interior has full-length fiberglass liners to make maintenance easy. FOR RAClNG she has a variable-position keel with easy-control winch to let you fine-tune performance; a clean-sweep deck for minimal wind resistance; full-length aluminum toe rails that eliminate need for genoa track because blocks may be positioned anywhere and changed easily underway; and a thru-hull pIvot-up rudder that's controlled from the tiller. STANDARD EQUIPMENT: "Sandpiper" cabin interior with 5 cabin berths. Dinette table. Foam-backed fabric cabin liner w/built-in beverage holders. Large tinted windows (4). Sliding hatch w/teak trim, teak step, lockable hasp. Self-bailing cockpit. Sealed fuel tank locker (USCG approved ventilation). Thru-hull pivot-up rudder. 2 seat hatches, storage under. Skid-resistant seat, deck surfaces. Foredeck hatch w/teak trim. Hinged mast step. Mast carrier. Anondized aluminim spars. Stainless mast spreader bases. Stainless boom gooseneck.
