This is the convertible you've been looking for! if you want to restore an old pontiac for those warm summer days !! It is 1961 catalina convertible, it was red, with a white top originally with tri-tone red, dark red, and white interior not sure what engine it had a 389 with just 1 2bbl. or a 4bbl. or the legendary 3-2s (tri-power) Now for the condition of the red rag top some 49 years later! wich is pretty dang good. lets start with the the body.. the floors need repair on the rear on the pans only, the braces all appear to solid! the front foot pans look solid from the underside (see pics) the frame very nice and clean no holes and not much scale at all!! the trunk floor very few little holes (see pics) the exterior over all pretty solid it does need some repair the drivers top of the rear wheelwell its about a 3 inch spot. and on the lower 1/4 all inner bracing still solid and intact and very little on the passenger side the rest of the car is pretty nice! all the glass is in next to perfect condition all roll up and down smoothly even the vent windows! the top frame very nice not rusty or stiff the power top motor works the pumps are stuck but everything is there! now whats missing from the car. the 2 strips of trim on the hood,the radiator,lower portion of the back seat and the keys the engine in it is 65 389 2 bbl. in the car with a turbo 400 it is not hooked up don't know how good or if it runs, someone else set the engine in the bay. this car does not run needs total restoration now the good stuff it has : a power top,inside dome light on the top frame with a switch on the drivers side rear armrest (see pics) ,remote mirror that moves freely with the lever and no cracks or pits but needs rechrome, the grills are nice! the taillights are there but 1 lens is broke, (the bumpers) no holes but need rechrome, the doors close nicely,the trunk lid is clean and straight, the interior.
