I spent a lot of time finding a nice rust free body for the ideal General. Other than a few small pinholes in the trunk and minor lower quarter work this is about as good as it will get. It did not take much to work the body and get a quality mirror finish paint job as a result. The frame and floors are untouched, straight, and rock solid. Everything else on the undercarriage is new or rebuilt or upgraded. The General has a a 390 Posi, New Art Carr 727 with a perfect Stall, matched up with a new radical 383 hp roller motor with plenty of other goodies. It flies and sounds terrific. The chrome and trim are in nice shape, some of trim could use some attention. The drivers door window molding should probably be replaced. This is a factory A/C car but would need the pump, condenser, and lines to complete. The General also has Power, four wheel Wildwood Disk Brakes. It can steer with a finger. All the Genera Lee equipment (horn, wheels, brush guard, CB, Antenea, stearing wheel, shifter, decals, interior,) are authenic and new and top of the line. Complete Interior is new. Guages are new. All the running lights backup lights, dash lights, and headlight doors work as they should. This a stunning car that is a blast to drive with a lot of attention to detail. It is hard for me to let go. Please let me know if I haven't covered something that would be of interest.
