This is my 1966 chevy truck it was bought new by my grandfather in aug. of 1966. I have the original owners manual, bill of sale ,inspection sheet & metal plate from the dealer all in great shape. This truck was a farm vehicle and used as such until i decided to restore it about 2 years ago. It came from chevrolet as a 6cyl. 3sp fleet side. The bed was gone from farm use and i found a 66 stepside for parts,Mainly the bed and 3 speed trans was what i needed. As you can see from the photos it was completly redone the new parts list is very long. Coil springs, ball joints,wheel cyl& pads,master cyl,axle bearings,clutch,pressure plate,release bearing,complete rubber kit all weather stripping, doors,all glass,even the anti-rattle felt for the door glass was replaced. It is a v-8 3 speed collumn shift everything is tight, no known problems. The engine runs great it is out of a 1983 caprice it is a 305. I kept the electronic dist. and put all the old parts on this motor to make it look like it came in the truck. It was running fine so i just replaced the hard to get to gaskets and set the motor in the truck. You have to really,really know old chevy engines to be able to tell its a 305. The passenger side dipstick is what most people look for. The old chevy blocks have a drivers side dipstick. Everything was painted with dupont single stage paint, two small runs i will have to show them to you but i painted it so i know they are there. Got about a qt. of paint left over for any touch ups in the future. I can help with shipping if needed, If you pick it up drive it home.
