This auction is for a 1975 BMW R90/6. It is in good original condition, runs and rides good. I am selling it because I bought a R60/2. The previous owner installed many new parts last year including the following: battery, Corbin seat, diode board, coils, plug wires, points, condenser, petcock gaskets, air filter, carb diaphrams, floats, needle valves, carb gaskets, starter, fork seals, front brake hose, and he rebuilt the master cylinder. When I got the bike, I removed the heads and cylinders to replace leaking gaskets. I installed new rings while I had it apart. I also replaced the clutch. The condition of the bike is as follows: Wheels are straight, the aluminum is a little tarnished and the spoke have some rust spots. Rear tire is worn out, front tire has less than half tread. Exhaust has a few dings and scuffs, the chrome is discolored in several places, right muffler has a large rust spot, but it does not leak or rattle, it sounds very nice. Fenders are in good condition, no cracks, paint has some chips and scratches but still shines. Left side cover has a couple small nicks, right side cover is missing. Gas tank is in very good condition. No rust inside. It has two small ripples on the right side, probably from someone banging their knee against it. It has a couple scratches. The emblems have a clear coating that is faded and peeling off. All switches work properly All lights work, tail light lens is cracked, tail light housing has some scratches and gouges. Headlight lens is new. Left rear reflector is missing. Steering damper knob has an ear broken off. Steering damper probably needs replaced because nothing seems to change when the knob is turned. Paint on frame looks pretty good, it has a few scratches. The paint on the frame has been damaged under the gas tank by leaking brake fluid (before master cylinder was rebuilt), but it is not visable when the tank is installed. Right mirror has a big dent, left mirror has a small dent. Handle bars are straight, have some light pitting in the chrome. Hand grips are mismatched. Fork boots are weather checked and starting to crack through. Carbs were rebuilt last year. Left side choke cable is broken and needs replaced. I think a new one is less than $15.00 Includes original seat pan that has been re-covered and re-foamed into a King/Queen seat. Seat cover is starting to tear. Also includes Bates saddle bags and trunk. I think I covered everything, but if you have any questions I will try to answer them the best that I can.
