Vehicle Detail

In over 30 years of dealing with MGB's I have not come across an original MGB in this great of condition. The car has received excellent care....I have receipts going back to 1986, showing the care this car has had over the years. In 1993 the carb was changed over to SU's and was given a new paint job. Looking at the paint, it is difficult to realize the car was painted in 1993 as it looks like it was done professionally a short time ago. It is one of the finest paint jobs I have seen, care was taken as there is no orange peel or over spray. This MGB does not have any rust or bondo what so ever....no signs of ever being in an accident....the body shell is very straight and true. The car has spent most of it's life in Florida, until being brought to Michigan a few years ago by the previous owner. It has always been garaged and never driven in the rain. Even though it has 86,000 miles on it the engine pulls strong and has great compression. It starts readily and does not leak oil....which is a rarity, has good oil pressure and does not overheat. The 4 speed gearbox shifts fine with no problems. The overdrive works great in both 3rd and 4th gears. The MGB tracks straight and drives very nicely....brakes work fine, but I would recommend that the front brakes be upgraded to my Wilwood aluminum 4 pot caliper kit, that I offer. This gives the best available braking possible in an MGB. (see my other auction for the Wilwood kit). All the electrics work as they should...no gremlins! The original seat covers are in excellent condition, but I will be replacing the seat foam in the drivers seat this week as it is quite soft. The carpet and interior panels I would rate a 7 out of 10. The dash does have a cover on it, but you would not know unless you looked at the edges with the doors open. The top is in excellent condition as is the boot cover. There are LE style wheels mounted on 185-70 x 14" tires that have 7/32 tread left. I do have the original Rostyle wheels, which come with the car....and they are like new. Please contact with questions or for more photos. The car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please contact me if you less than 10 feedback before bidding. Lastly with restored MGB's going for 10 to 12 thousand the reserve for this car is less than half of that.
