Vehicle Detail
1930 Rolls Royce 20/25 Shooting Break. I purchased this Rolls Royce about 12 years ago from the previous owner that moved the car from California. The story goes that the previous owner to him shipped the car to Europe every summer to tour. When I purchased the car there were guide book from all over Europe and a set of English china in the picnic table and sherry glasses in the rack above the dash. . I had the body metal professionally resprayed british racing green. The top fabric was replaced and all new Wilton carpet installed. The rear seat was missing so I purchased a seat from another RR shooting break and had it rebuilt and covered in leather. The exterior wood is original and is in good condition. As shown the car is proper right hand drive but the shift lever is on the drivers right side which is not the norm for a RHD car. The drivers side outside door handle was broken recently but I have a proper period complete set of outside door handles that are included that could be rechromed and used. I had the flywheel ring gear replaced because the old ring gear had a dead spot. The engine has not been rebuilt to my knowledge but runs well for an 80 year old engine. This car is not a 100 point show car but makes a very presentable appearance. There are many Ford woodies around that are advertised at what I consider ridiculous prices. In my opinion a Ford woody does not compare to this Rolls Royce. I am not using this Rolls therefore it is offered for sale at a price much lower than a Ford. The oriental mats are not included. I expect a payment of $1000 within 24 hours of the auction end from the successful bidder via Paypal. The balance to be paid in cash or certified funds that must clear before the car is released. All shipping arrangements are to be made by the buyer. The car is sold as is where is with no guarantee implied. I would expect that the buyer of such a car would be knowledgeable about these vehicles and have done all due diligence before bidding or purchase. I am happy to provide answer to all questions and will provide additional photos via email.
