1978 Honda XL75

For auction my beautifully restored 1978 Honda XL75. A rare little collector in fantastic condition. I have spent a small fortune on this mini bike and will try to list most of what was done. The bike was never off roaded, the previous owner told me his son used it for his paper route on pavement only. The paint was done by a pro shop and came out very nice. I bought the actual perfect match Tahitian Red from ColorRite ($140 for a pint!) The decals are laser cut reproductions extremely hard to find and perfect match ($75). The two small decals on the rear fender will be on the bike when delivered, I only could find one and had to have the left copied and made specially. The engine was partly torn down to put new rings in when I got it, so it went to my old engine builder to re-assemble, check out and make sure it was all reliable and correct. He set valves, adjusted timing chain, inspected it fully, cleaned and adjusted the carb, and re-assembled all. It starts first kick usually and runs and shifts just fine. It has the original airbox, usually missing on these. I had the forks done with new fork seals and oil. New tires matching the originals were installed as was the chain. The seat foam was fine and I recovered it with an OEM style cover, complete with stock piping and Honda logo. All in all, this bike is a very nice restoration and anyone would be proud to add it to their garage. The only imperfections that I want to point out are the right rear signal has some scratches on the chrome shell and the front signals appear to be slightly tweeked when viewed from above, probably the dog ears slightly off, but not a big deal. My reserve is quite reasonable so bid to win. Shipping will be the buyer's deal but I can help have it ready when your shipper comes to pick it up. I would prefer not to, but if you want it crated I will do it for $125 time and material and it will weigh about 160 pounds roughly for your estimate on cost. The bike does not come with a title, I don't really see anyone riding it on the street. But if you want one it can be had from International Title in Las Vegas, NV.
