Vehicle Detail
BANK REPO from Central Bank in Lebanon, MO. 1999 Chevy Corvette, automatic, all the standard equipment and then a few extras. Starts, runs, and drives out okay. Should be fine to drive home, as long as it does not rain. EXTERIOR: The paint and fiberglass on this car appears to be in very good condition. I do not know a lot about this car, but do know that it was originally black. The previous owner operates a body shop, and apparently likes electric blue a lot. He told me he spent 2 weeks converting this from a black to a blue car. I've seen people attempt this before and it turn out as a mess. Honestly, if I did not tell you it had been black, the only way you could figure it out is from the trim tag codes. He has painted all the door jambs, under the hood, around the deck lid, etc. The paint is in good shape and does not have many or any visible scratches or chips. The car is dirty and has not been washed. A good wash and wax would make it look 100% better. The wheels are 18" chrome Z06 Vette wheels. Tires are average to good. The body of the car is okay, however, there are some minor details that need attention. For example, the bezels around the headlights are missing. Also missing it the top. So, if you drive it home either bring a top or home that it does not rain. INTERIOR: Standard black leather. Interior is a little rough. I tried to take several pictures to demonstrate. The previous owner has purchased new leather seat covers, which are on the seat forms, but have not been permanently attached. The doors panels, dash, etc. have places where there are lights or little things missing. Not sure what all they might be. I suspect that he took the doors panels and all off when painting and just did not take the time to put everything back on in its proper place. The factory radio has been replaced with an aftermarket radio/flip up DVD player device. The rubber around the doors, windows, and top are not in the best of shape. The sunvisors and carpets are a little rough. Also, there is a handful of pieces in the trunk that may be some of the pieces that just need to be put back on where they belong. MECHANICAL: Not sure how good or bad the car has been treated previously. It does start and run fine. No noises. No smoke. Does have aftermarket exhaust and an aftermarket air intake/air cleaner. A/C does not blow cold. Check engine light is on--don't know why. Overall, it's a repo car. Not a cream puff. Someone will probably buy this car worth the money, just don't show up expecting it to be brand new. A good cleaning will help a lot and make the exterior look great. Most of the things that need to be done are minor in detail and will just take a little time, and a little hunting and searching for the pieces that you need. A couple Saturdays under the shade tree will make a big difference, especially on the interior. REPO/NO WARRANTY: The vehicle you are purchasing is a repossession by Central Bank in Lebanon, Missouri. I will give a good description of what I know about the vehicle, but this has not been my personal vehicle and in most cases I do not have a detailed history on the vehicle. All vehicles are sold without warranty expressed or implied. Vehicle has not been safety inspected. Central Bank does not guaranty the vehicle to pass safety inspection. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. There is no negotiation on price after the sale or upon delivery of the vehicle. Bidders are highly encouraged to come and inspect the vehicle before the end of the auction. DO NOT ASK THESE QUESTIONS: 1. Reserve price (on auctions w/a reserve) 2. Amount owed on the vehicle 3. Buy-it-now price 4. I will not end the auction early 5. I will not send second chance offers SCAMS: I do not send second chance offers. If you are contacted buy someone wanting to sell you an item I’ve had listed for a ridiculously low price and willing ship it across the country for $20, IT IS A SCAM. They will likely want you to pay thru Ebay, which does not happen either. If you buy something from Central Bank, your check will be made directly to Central Bank and you can pay for the vehicle when you pick it up. We do not do shipping. You can arrange and pay for shipping on your own, if you so choose. TEST DRIVE: NOT possible. You are welcome to come and inspect the vehicle, start, and drive it around the parking lot, but we DO NOT allow test drives on the street/road under any circumstances. This is not a car dealership. TITLE: Central Bank has a lien-free title for all vehicles. Title to vehicle will be transferred with payment in full, and/or once funds have been verified. All you pay is the high bid amount. No hidden fees. PAYMENT: Central Bank expects payment in full within 7 days of the auction ending. Preferred payment methods are wire transfers, official checks, or money orders. Personal or business checks are accepted, but the title will not be transferred until the funds have cleared your account. SELL TO LOCATIONS: Due to some recent problems with winning bidders from countries outside the USA not completing the transaction, I have restricted sales to the USA. VIEWING: Potential bidders/buyers are welcome to come look at the vehicle before the auction ends. However, it is HIGHLY recommended that you call before you come to make sure someone will be available to show you the vehicle. We are NOT here on Saturdays for vehicle viewing. PICK UP & DELIVERY: Buyer is responsible for getting their purchase to its new home. Arrangements will need to be made in advance. We are closed on Saturdays in the loan office, but do have a drive thru open until noon. We should be able to make arrangements for Saturday pick up as long as you get here before NOON. Weekday pick ups should be by 4:00, unless special arrangements are made. DEPOSIT: No deposit is required if you pay within 7 days. If you are unable to pay and pick up the vehicle within 7 days, we require a 10% or $250 deposit (whichever is greater). FEEDBACK: All bidders with zero (0) feedback must e-mail me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. Feedback will be left on the buyer’s account once the transaction is completed. CONTACT INFORMATION: E-MAIL is by far the best method of contact. I will reply to e-mails within 24 hours unless a weekend or holiday. I am VERY difficult to get on the phone. You may try to call Central Bank, 9:00 am – 4:00pm, CST, Monday-Thursday, and 9:00am – 6:00 pm on Fridays. Phone (417)-532-2151, ask for Travis, you will probably have to leave a message.
