2006 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor - Clean 2006 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor Vehicle Condition: Up for auction is one of the cleanest Police Interceptors I have ever seen. I have owned many P71's all from CHP (California Highway Patrol) and none of those cars has been as clean as this one. This particular unit is from the North Carolina Highway Patrol. It was clearly an unmarked/supervisor vehicle of some sort, as most vehicles used for patrol are trashed by the time they are sold off. This vehicle comes with all of the Ford manuals, police vehicle manual, and a massive stack of paperwork and extensive service records from the NC Highway Patrol that reads like a book... it contains everything from the first oil change, any maintenance items, everything all the way up until the car was removed from service and sold to us. There are also no holes drilled anywhere on this car. No holes on any of the exterior or interior panels... very rare on most service vehicles. Vehicle Exterior: The paint is factory, and shines like the day it was delivered for service duty, also considering the "orange peel" matches from front to rear on both sides! The color combo on this car is stunning to see in person and we only wish more cruisers were spec'd with Silver on dark gray interior. The doors and trunk all shut with very minimal effort, all lights work properly. The tires are the Goodyear Eagle RS-A police tires, and are in newish condition and are probably about 1/2 way through their life give or take a bit, but still quiet and no dry rotting. This vehicle has no rust on it, and is in better shape underneath than the CHP cars we have had in the past. This car had the "street appearance package" on it but has had the grill and trunk panel replaced with new OEM Police Interceptor units. If you request, we can also include all of the parts including 4 hubcaps, chrome grille, and body color trunk panel. Vehicle Interior: The vehicle interior is in as close to new condition as we have seen. Most cruisers we see have the tan or blue interior, so this dark flint gray is a very pleasing change and makes for a very nice experience. For a vehicle that was use in service for its first 100,000 miles the interior looks and smells like new. This vehicle has been optioned up much better than most police cruisers, as it has Cruise Control, deluxe dome light, full carpet interior and matching cloth backseat. This vehicle has the ticket writing light that seems to be a popular add-on. The 2006 models were the first model year to get the updated cluster, steering wheel and pre-wire options for accessories. All of the switchgear work as you would expect, and everything is incredibly untouched considering it has been used in service duty. We have also had the windows tinted with a nice medium tint all around. It is not too dark, and keeps the sun off you! Vehicle Mechanicals: We already said it above, and will say it again... this is the cleanest police cruiser we have seen. The car runs excellent and has been driven occasionally since I acquired it, and we have not had any problems. Performance is excellent; it’s comfortable, dependable, and safe. The transmission shifts with no problems or unusual noises. The vehicle accelerates smoothly and sounds great, also no unusual noises. The engine does not ping or knock. Acceleration is strong, braking is great, it just runs great overall. No known problems here. We also just performed an oil change with synthetic oil and Motorcraft filter, coolant flush, and brake fluid flush so it is ready to go!
