Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback/ Sportsroof. This is a PROJECT car, and needs a complete restoration. She originally was a 351 Windsor car with Power Steering, and Power Disc Brakes. This is a pretty solid car with lots of extra parts to go with the car. I’m not sure if this car was a Mach 1, as the door does not have the door tag any longer. I can tell you that the car has a 9" rear end, with a rear sway bar! Which leads me to believe it may have been a Mach 1. The car is being sold with a Bill Of Sale only, as the title was lost long ago by the previous owner. Obtaining a title is pretty easy through Broadway Title in Alabama, and they are recommended by Hagerty car insurance. The car is being sold to the highest bidder, with NO RESERVE!!! VIN# 9F02H169122 ENGINE/ TRANSMISSION: The car originally had a 351 Windor with a 4 barrel carb that put out about 290 HP. The car had power steering and power disc brakes. The engine bay is clean, and has the wiring harness as you can see in the pics. The brakes are not hooked up at this time. The original engine is long gone but, I do have a rebuildable engine to go with the car if the winning bidder wants the motor. The motor is out of the car, and arrangements will have to be made to pick up the engine. There is no transmission for the car, but the shifter is present inside the car. INTERIOR/ EXTERIOR: The interior is pictured, showing no carpet, no door panels, and pretty much bare. The dash bezel is in ok shape, and I don’t know if the gauges work correctly. The floorpans are in pretty good shape, as the drivers side has some minor rust, but still pretty solid. The passenger side and the rear pans are in good shape and look good and solid. The doors are solid and the bottoms of the doors are solid also. I do believe the drivers door had a small rust bubble in the lower front part of the door. The trunk pan on the drivers side is good, but the passenger side appears to have some rust repairs with bondo. It’s not all rusted out by any means, just a little rough. I have the door glass for the car, but the car needs a new windshield, rear window and side quarter glass. The exterior is pretty solid with a little rust in the bottom on the quarter panels that is easily repaired. The fenders are good. There is some old bondo work near the rear window at the top, and near the drivers quarter window. I bought sheet metal to fix the problem for several hundred dollars from a 69 Fastback. This will be included with the car. I have no idea whats under the bondo, just that it’s on the car. I believe I have all the chrome trim for the car as shown in the pictures. I have all the parts in the car, as the extra parts are very expensive to buy. INFO: just know that the car is a PROJECT car, and please expect it to need a full restoration. It has good and bad points, and please feel free to ask any questions about the car! GOOD LUCK, and NO RESERVE!!! INFO: The car is a PROJECT type car!!. The car is NOT perfect by any means but it’s 41 years old also. Please know this before bidding. I take pride in delivering this car as it was advertised. I tried to cover the car the best I could so, if you have any questions please email me, and I will answer them ASAP. There's no warranty on the car, and it's sold "AS IS". The car may be inspected anytime BEFORE the auction closes! I may end the auction at anytime. The wining bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements. There is a $500.00 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of the auctions end. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of the auction closing. ONLY THE DEPOSIT MAY BE PAID WITH PAYPAL, THE REMAINING BALANCE MUST BE CASH, OR A CASHIER'S CHECK. The car must be picked up within 2 weeks of the auction closing. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thank You and good Luck!
