Up for sale is my 1978 Oldsmobile Omeaga SX with 28,850 original miles. I purchased this car in 1990 with 17,000 miles on the odometer. I am the second owner. I know the original owner and this car was purchased locally by him while he worked at a local Olds dealership in Schuylkill Haven, PA. This car is in very nice condition and never had any rust. It was never driven in snow and very rarely in rain. It comes equipped with a 305 engine with a 2 barrel carb., 3 speed turbo glide automatic transmission, bucket seats, sport console, tilt steering, guage package includes, tach, volt, temp, & clock. Also has the SX package equipped with the FE2 rallye suspension package. The chrome on the car shines very bright and is not pitted. Interior is very nice and very clean. Dash has no cracks. It is white & carmine colors. There was some paint work done to it by previous owner and I don't know why that was done. Tires are BF Goodrich TA Radials and are like new. Car has the original brakes on it and are still good. I flushed the brake system about 5 years ago just as a precaution. Original spare tire never saw the pavement. Mobil 1 has been used in the engine since I have owned it. Car runs fine with no issues other than warming up, it tends to stall when it's cold. (probably a choke adjustment). The only mechanical issue I'm aware of is the transmission seal has a small leak at the torque converter. Not a big deal, but it's worth mentioning. This Olds is NOT equipped with Air Conditioning. It has all original (not replaced) sheetmetal. This car is a survivor and has not been hacked up by anyone. There are several dings, ( 2 from my mother in law who happened to park too close and opened her door twice on it). Body is very straight with no bondo or fillers in it. I installed an original AM/FM radio several years ago and will include the original AM radio that came with it. I also installed a new muffler about 10 years ago & it has a slight rumble to it, not loud, but at least you can hear the V8 run. Engine compartment is clean. I replaced the coolant hoses about 5 years ago. Radiator is clean with no corrosion. Master Cylinder was replaced several years ago, but I noticed tonight it was wet, so I will replace that if the car sells. I also have the orginal window sticker for the car. There were not many of these Olds made with the SX option, and I'm sure there are not many left in this condition, I've been watching EBAY for quite a few years and only seen about 7 or 8 of these listed. I don't need to sell the car, but I rarely use it anymore. This is similar to the Chevy Nova, Buick Apollo, Pontiac Ventura. The driveline is all GM Chevrolet.
