Vehicle Detail

This is a project car! PLEASE READ the entire ad and look at the pictures before you bid. The car is NOT numbers matching. A personal inspection by you, or an expert is always recommended, prior to the end of the auction. You can see the car at Liberty Lincoln Mercury, Inc 798 Rte 3 west Clifton, NJ 07012 Monday through Friday from 9AM to 9PM and Saturday 9AM to 5PM. You may also call 973 473 7800 Ext 318 if there are any questions I have left unanswered, To begin with, the car is 99% complete. There are a few parts in the trunk that are not currently on the car, such as the rear bumper, mirror, etc. The car starts and it will move, steer and stop. However, unless you live very close, we absolutely do not recommend driving the car. You should plan to pick the car up with a truck. We want to be very clear that this car needs a restoration and will be sold AS-IS WHERE-IS with absolutely no warranties expressed, or implied. While the car will require a restoration, it is my opinion that it is a worthwhile candidate, because the body is solid and the interior is decent. I realize that if you want to make a perfect show car, you will probably redo the entire car from top to bottom, but if you want a driver quality Mach I, you may not do everything to it. This car currently has a 429 cu in V/8 that is of an unknown year and is not the correct engine for this car. The car sat for many years, therefore at the very least, you have to go through the entire car mechanically and fix what it needs. Originally, this car had a 351 cu in V/8. The car starts up and sounds pretty good, the transmission shifts, it steers and it stops. The tires are new. But, this car has fluid leaks that must be fixed and this is why we do not promise that you can drive for any distance at all. We have no way of verifying the accuracy of the mileage, therefore it will be sold True Mileage Unknown. In spite of all the flaws I have listed, this car presents the right person with an opportunity to own a legendary car for a low price. Once restored, this car will surely be a good investment. It will make a very worthwhile project for it's new owner. Remember, this car will sell to the highest bidder, regardless! Bid to own! Thank you for reading my ad and good luck!
