Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 0 1 451 2576 21 5 3163 11.1287 0 0 0 Up for bid is a 1966 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Pickup. This truck has the original 352 V8, original heads, original 3-speed transmission. It has a good grille and ALL the original exterior aluminum trim. This truck runs and drives, and is currently titled in Virginia. Here is a little bit of info on the truck: The body is very solid and, despite some surface rust, it looks good and straight. There are a few dents here and there. The only major rust-through on the body is on a small portion on the front of the hood (pictured). There is a pretty good repair history on this truck: The previous owner bought this truck from the original owner in 2004 and did the following work to it in the last 5 years. Gas Tank flushed out and coated in 2006 Replaced all brakes, wheel cylinders, and drums in 2005. New wheel bearings 2007 New Hubs 2007 New 4-barrel carburetor 1 year ago New Alternator 1 year ago New radiator, radiator hoses, and belts 1 year ago Original Heads were re-done in 2008 New Battery 1 year ago New Hurst shifter in 2008. (I DO STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL 3-ON-THE-TREE SHIFT LINKAGE) New rear axle bearings done in 2008. New Brake Master Cylinder 2009 Original 3-speed transmission rebuilt in 2007. New Clutch, pressure plate, & throwout bearing done when the transmission was done. Put on Flowmaster mufflers with true dual exhaust. The exhaust comes out the sides of the truck in front of the rear tires. It sounds great. There is a different air filter on the motor right now, but I have the original air filter housing. There is a locking gas cap, but I have the original gas cap in the glove box. The original radio is all there, but it does not work. The parts of this truck that do not appear to be original are the wheels and the Hurst Shifter. However, the original column-shift linkage is included. I also have the small piece of exterior aluminum trim that is missing from the drivers side next to the door. Here are the things this truck will need to get it fully road-worthy: It will need a new windshield. It has the typical rust in the cab mounts underneath, and the floorpans have been patched. The previous owner put blocks in to support the cab mounts. The lower part of the radiator support is rusty. The brakes are soft, but they still stop okay. There are a few small dents here and there, and the upholstery is separating on the driver’s side. Also, for some strange reason, the inside of the bed is painted yellow – like a construction-type color. It appears that the rest of the truck has the original paint. With the original grille, original trim, original engine, original transmission, original 3-on-the-tree shift linkage, original radio, original gas cap, and even the original canvas bag-style windshield washer fluid holder, this is a perfect candidate for a restoration. I am very sad to see this truck go, but I am moving in August and cannot take this with me. Although the truck runs and drives, it would be best to either ship or trailer this home. The winning bidder should pick this truck up within 10 days of the Auction's end. I am happy to coordinate with a shipping company if necessary. $250 deposit within 48 hours is required via Paypal. Full payment required within 5 days of the auction's end. The truck is located in Manassas, Virginia, about 15 minutes off Interstate 66. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thank You! This truck is being sold as-is.
