this was my own personal car and i know its history well. with this 2000 volkswagon cabrio i have had so many compliments on it from strangers the whole length of time ive had it. probably because its such a sporty fun car of which they really dont make anything quite like it today. it just screams summer fun! i hate to let it go, but my family has grown and now i must part with it. it is a rare automatic which made me buy it in the first place, because nowadays, i just didnt want to tie my hands up doing what the car can do itself and that is shift. it runs great and looks great, no immediate mechanical problems to my knowledge. in fact it has a newly replaced fuel injection pump and distributor cap. it is inspected until august. my pictures didnt turn out the best and actually the car looks much better in person. it has leather interior seats which are in excellent condition when it comes to leather. some wear around door handles to be expected. exterior and paint i would also say are very good to excellent, not perfect but nothing too noticable or significant at all. its only boo boo is on the soft top seam on the rear drivers side. it started to come apart several months ago and i just repaired it will a glue, not a pretty repair but its waterproof. i priced the car lower to accomidate for a new soft top. you can get a new vinyl one for $150 or a new cloth one like the one on it for $350 and than you just need someone whos handy to put it on. so i dropped the starting price of the car about $500 to accomodate this, but hey, the top on it works just fine and if you decide to keep it on than your ahead of the game. oh, and the convertable top is electric so you can open and close it with just a button. i encourage all interested to come and look it over and i will anwer all questions to the best of my ability.
