The owner was having a baby and needed a little bigger vehicle with 4 wheel drive, so she had to part with the Jetta. It's a pretty good little car, not beautiful, not perfect, but also not expensive. It's a great starter car, 1st time driver, commuter, or just inexpensive transportation. It'll be inexpensive to insure. It should get an easy 30mpg on the freeway. It's non-turbo, so cheapie fuel is fine, also a pretty safe little car with dual front and side air bags and front wheel drive. exterior The paint and body on this car are fair and presentable, but certainly not beautiful. It has a clean history reports, no signs of any significant damage. There's no bad dents, body rust or noticeable damage. The center caps look so-so, tires, however have very good deep tread. They're pricey tires too. The windshield is good, no cracks. The bumpers are straight, etc. We did have the roof repainted because it was faded, came out fair, not great. There's plenty of nicks, scratches, touched up marks, etc, about the body. It has been buffed and touched up, again, looks fine, but won't win any awards. The front bumper lower plastic air dam trim was broken, we removed it, you may see it in the photos. The passenger mirror is held on with electrical tape. interior The interior is fair overall. It doesn't smell like smoke or animals. The car is pretty simple, not a lot to break. The air blows cold and stereo works. There's some light discolorations, wear on the trim, few marks here and there, fine for the age, mileage and price. The ring on the key is broken, but the clicker still works. mechanical This car actually runs out quite well and it came in that way. It starts right up, idles smooth and quiet, no check engine light and it didn't have one one when it came in. The oil and filter have been changed, but we really couldn't find anything too wrong with it. The car drives straight, clutch is fine, no grinding in the transmission, it has good power, but is easy to drive. The front struts are a bit worn but not too bad. They're $70 a side if you want new ones, we'll install them free. There's just a touch of pop in the suspension when you hit a stiff bump, but again, really not to worry about yet. The windshield washer bottle sensor is inoperable, but the squirters still work fine, we can replace at cost. The car has been pretty well maintained and should have a long while to go. comments This is a good first timer vehicle, or just inexpensive transportation. We guarantee clean title.
