Up for sale is my 2007 Equinox I have a REGULAR title in hand to sign over. My insurance company settled a damage claim with me and I retained ownership of the car. The insurance company updated me on 6-17-2010 that the title designation was incorrectly sent to Minnesota instead of Michigan and that the duplicate title I requested because of the mix up will remain a valid clean Michigan title. The fire incident occured in Florida on 3-31-2010 when a wire near the left side of the brake pedal shorted out on the frame and burnt some of the plastic and carpet under the dash. Once the claim was settled, the vehicle's damaged harness was repaired and most electronic functions returned to normal. The airbag light is on even though the airbags did not activate. The stability control system light is also on although the car drives fine. The only other system not functioning properly is the tire pressure monitoring system, but that was not working before the incident since the upgraded 18" wheels do not have the pressure sensors installed. the vehicle has been driven back from Florida and over 1600 miles without any incident or problem other than the three items just mentioned. As the pictures show, the vehicle is in very nice shape other than minor scratches and small dents from normal use. Tires are Goodyear Eagles (P235/50 R18) and have about 50% tread left. The pictures also show the small burns on the drivers side floor area which will be easy to replace. This vehicle runs and drives fine and is priced low enough to allow for repairs to be made and still be a great value. The SUV is advertised locally, so I do not know how long it will last.
