Vehicle Detail
This listing is for a 1985 Chrysler New Yorker Turbo. I'm the second owner. The first owner had every option available put in for this car when new. The car runs excellent and looks real good for its age. It's a smaller easy to drive luxury car, really comfortable, has many modern style conveniences, and has a 2.2 liter 4 cylinder motor. I'm parting with the car because I need the cash. The car has never been smoked in and hardly driven. This car sold successfully in the 80s for being Chrysler's first compact luxury car. It's a rare find and technology advanced for its time! Features: -- All electronic digital display including odometer, speedometer, volt, gas, temp, and oil meters. -- Everything is powered and has cruise control. -- Has an expensive optional navigation computer. The computer reads out lots of driving information pertaining to fuel, speed, and travel. It even has a calendar. -- Has a unique "Voice Alert" system. A digitized voice announces important reminders such as to please refuel, don't forget keys, your headlights are on, etc. Very helpful feature. -- All leather and wood interior throughout. Interior color is dark blue. -- Front bucket seats have many large storage compartments between the seats and under the seat. Both seats have 8 way power adjustments. -- Back seats have headrests and a center arm rest. -- Original AM/FM Cassette Infinity Stereo with 6 speakers (if you need a tape adapter to hook up your iPod or MP3 player, I can give you mine that works great in this car) -- Good air conditioner and heater with easy to use controls -- Cup holders -- Overhead electronic compass, outside temperature, garage door remote holder and sunglasses compartment -- Large deep trunk with spare tire and safety utilities (jack, flares, etc. never used) -- Inner door remote switches for fuel door and trunk -- Have all original documents for the car including receipts and even the sales brochure -- Illuminated passenger side vanity mirror -- Landau roof -- Opera lights on the outside of the car still work fine and are easy to replace the bulbs if they burn out -- Rust free mast antenna New parts: -- All 6 speakers -- Hoses and belts -- Reconverted air conditioning system ($500) -- All 4 tires Known problems (minor): -- The paint is still okay but there are cheap adhesive sticker strips peeling off the door moldings and handles. Not that noticeable but I recommend peeling them off completely instead of having them replaced. The car looks better without them anyway. -- There are a few small holes in the landau roof in the back. They have been bonded with a seal so water can't get into it. -- The car has a couple common small door dings. They're not big enough to be photographed. -- A couple weeks ago my friend accidently slammed the passenger door a little too hard and knocked the window partially off track. The motor still works and the window still goes down ok but it is slow going back up. I'm sure it's an easy fix but I'm not good at taking things apart and I don't want to make it worse. California buyers: The car passed smog last year with no problem. It is due for smog and registration next month. Bidders: Please note my 100% positive feedback and history of selling cars previously. PLEASE ask any questions you may have! I will be more than happy to answer them! I am usually within instant access to a computer so I can answer your questions as soon as possible. Keep in mind that this car is being sold AS-IS however I stand by that the car is excellent and it will last you for a long time. I haven't had any major problems with the car as long as I've owned it. Serious bidders only please! If you need it shipped, I am willing to accommodate as long as I am given plenty of advanced notice. I require a deposit of $500 immediately within 24 hours of the auction ending (unless of course paid in full) through PAYPAL. I need the remaining balance, if any, paid cash on day of pickup (no checks or money orders)! Pickup must be within 7 days of auction ending from my Van Nuys home. I might be able to extend the time if you let me know your circumstance. On Jul-26-10 at 17:39:17 PDT, seller added the following information: If you live too far away to pick up the car yourself, you may pay the balance of the car via Paypal but I highly prefer cash. Thanks! On Jul-26-10 at 19:57:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Couple more things I forgot to mention! -- The headliner is new ($200). -- The engine only has be changed every 6 months or 6,000 miles. Even says so in the manual. It can also run just fine on 87 octane. MPG is about 21/25.On Jul-26-10 at 20:22:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry, meant engine OIL only***On Jul-28-10 at 07:14:59 PDT, seller added the following information: This morning I went out to my car and saw that the rearview mirror fell off the windshield. I guess the glue got old. I tried regluing it back on but I can't get it to stick so I'm just going to leave it the way it is.
