Vehicle Detail

Here is what I know: I bought it from a single middle aged Engineer with not much to do, but take care of this unit. He told me he bought it new. The interior shows signs of light wear, but no holes, rips, or tears. It has never been smoked in, nor to the best of my knowledge had ANYTHING spilled in it. A few months before I bought it, he had just had the engine rebuilt by the dealer. Then it was his misfortune to get in to a light "fender-bender", with a little car in the Down Town. He had it hauled to his home and could not bring himself to get even more work done to this rig. I bought it, being a professional bodyman, I made the repairs and had a first-rate frame shop put it on the laser. It was returned to factory specs and I drove it for about 2 years puting about 50,000 miles on it. Winter before last, the timing belt broke. I put a timing belt kit on it, but the valves were bent when the breakage occured. It has sat closed up since then. I can tell you that the head was secure and not leaking, so a valve job or a replacement head and gaskets is all it needs. While I used it, it got from 34-40 MPG! It was spunky and was unstopable in the desert of my old home, and in the woods of my new home. If the head is repaired or replaced, I think this rig has a lot of years and miles left in it. It has aftermarket hubs and the previous owner installed 2 engine gauges under the dash to keep a close eye on the oil and the water temp. I never saw any spikes/drops or reasons to worry about them while I used it. It has a factory adjustable roof rack that has come in handy a lot of times. It has a 2" reciever attached to the frame, and has pulled a 19' Implement trailer with tractor with out a grunt. Though it would go faster, I kepy it at 65 or less on the freeway. It could use some paint on the hood and right front fender that are in primer. There is no other body or frame damage. It is clean inside and out, with a fresh windshield and all the other glass in great shape. The tyres are OK, probably good for another 15-20K miles, but the spare needs to be replaced. This is a non-running, come-N-get-it auction. I do not like to offer to deliver, but it is possible within 100 miles, for a fee. If that is needed, "ask the seller a question". There is no Reserve. Good luck in your bidding!
