PROJECT 1956 BELAIR CONVERTIBLE!!!!! FACTORY BLACK CAR!!!!! RUST FREE!!!!! POWDER COATED FRAME!!!! BUILD THE 56 CONVERTIBLE OF YOUR DREAMS!!!!!! This auction is a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible project. I bought this car as you see it in the pictures. It is incomplete, but what is one of the most solid tri-5’s you’ll see on EBAY, and you’ve probably seen some real rust buckets. It has a rust free body with much work already done. Lots of floor work has been completed. The only remaining body work that needs to be done is: 1) Installation of the driver’s side quarter panel (the first picture shows a replacement panel which comes with the car- JUST SO IT IS CLEAR, THE BODY IN ITS CURRENT CONDITION HAS NO DRIVER’S SIDE QUARTER- SEE SECOND PICTURE. IT WAS REMOVED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER. I TEMPORARILY PLACED A FULL QUARTER ON THE CAR FOR THE FIRST PICTURE). 2) Patch panel installation in front of the passenger side rear wheel well (patch panel included as shown in picture) 3) Finish work at driver’s side rear tail pan/ quarter panel as shown in picture The convertible top rack is in great condition. I haven’t pulled it out of storage but will and will take a picture for those who wish to see it. VIN tag is not on the car. I found a tag in the boxes of parts that came with the car which I assume goes to this car. The underbody has been coated with bedliner type material- it looks awesome. The car is missing the steering linkage, meaning the front of the car will not roll unless on car skates. Please consider this fact when arranging shipping. Unfortunately the frame has a trailer hitch welded to it..............it's one of those "what were they thinking" deals....it is powdercoated though. Parts which are missing from this car: front and rear seats, rear piston covers, windshield, engine, transmission, driveshaft, side chrome trim, bumpers, steering column, etc.- many more of the smaller parts. I have boxes of parts which I can take pics of and send. These are the types of parts that are replaced during restoration since they are old and worn out. Trunk floor appears to be new repro and has surface rusted. Doors appear to be new reproduction doors, which have surface rust. A new full driver’s side reproduction quarter panel comes with the car- also has surface rust. A new reproduction passenger side lower patch panel comes with the car- also has surface rust. Cowl tag reads as follows: ST: 56 1067-DTX BDY: L40218 TRIM: 602 PAINT: 687 (ONYX BLACK- factory black car!!!!) The rims shown in pictures do NOT come with the car. Rollers will be put on the car for shipment. Bill of sale only. No title. I am sure I am missing many things- do not hesitate to ask.
