FOR AUCTION: ONE GREEN VOLVO 850 4 DOOR SEDAN with 179,000 miles I purchased this Volvo 850 two years ago on Ebay, in August of 2008. The ONLY service it has had is two oil changes and new brake pads(front and back). This car runs good and has been very reliable. From a distance it looks pretty darn good, but up close you can find various SMALL scrathes and scuffs. There is a Small but noticeable dent right behind the blinker on the drivers side finder (see pics). The bumpers are faded and could use a coat of paint. **BASIC FEATURES** The power windows work fine, as well as the sun roof. The drivers side power seat works . Power locks work fine. Radio / Cassette Tape / CD changer works. *** THE A/C AND HEATER WORK BUT THE FAN NEEDS REPLACEMENT*** If you turn the fan on, IT DOES BLOW, it just makes a loud noise. I was told by an auto savy friend that it needed a new "Squerl Cage ". ** This Volvo has some Gear and Handling features: Economy / Winter / Sport (selectable on thr center consoule ) *************THE ONLY "DRIVING ISSUES THIS CAR HAS IS :SOMETIMES IT WILL SEEM TO SWITCH IT'S SELF TO WINTER GEAR (I DO NOT know the cause. Usually turning the car off and back on will solve the issue. Even in the event that it stays in winter gear, it still drives fine, and has created no problems, so I HAVE NOT HAD IT SERVICED FOR THIS)************************************ The winter gear is to keep from spinning the tires in snow and ice. It only seems to be active starting from a dead stop. THIS CAR IS 16 YEARS OLD, therefore it has various wear and tare that should be expected. THE A/C FAN HAS STOPPED BLOWING******* Although I've already indicated it needs a fan, it had been blowing but very loudly. I checked the car over today and found that the fan IS NOT working at all. A/C and Heat are still operable, it just needs a new fan. ****PLEASE NOTICE *************** I did not mention this in my original draft of this auction but: THE "SERVICE " LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING AT START-UP, THEN GOING OFF SINCE I ORIGINALLY PURCHASED THIS VOLVO. ** THIS HAS HAD NO ILL EFFECT ON THE CAR IN THE TWO YEARS I HAVE HAD IT. When I picked the car up, the person from whom I purchased it told me not to worry about it, so I never have. ( I DID NOT REMEMBER IT TILL DRIVING THE CAR TODAY BECAUSE IT SIMPLY RUNS FINE) AS MENTIONED, THIS VOLVO IS VERY DEPENDABLE, AND I HAVE NOT ONCE HAD IT SERVICED, OTHER THAN OIL CHANGES AND BRAKES.
