This VERY rare 1965 Dodge Custom 880 6 passenger station wagon runs and drives great. Mostly original paint and interior. Has a 383 4bbl and a rebuilt 727 trans with a Mopar shift kit. P/S, P/B, P/W, P/L, P/seat, NO A/C but has factory tinted glass all around. The power windows, tailgate and seat all function. Power locks "sort of" work. Very solid body with just a small amount of rust-thru behind the left rear wheel. Was a daily driver until the end of 2009. Now, it just sits in the driveway. Interior needs some help, especially the front seat although the dash pad is in great shape. All door panels are in good shape for being 45 yrs old. Cargo side panels are sun rotted along the glass. Tires are in good shape. I didn't like the stock 14" wheel covers so I added the correct era "dog dish" hub caps on VERY rare (and expensive) 15" wheels off a Max Wedge car. Only rust in tailgate is the pin holes shown (see last 5 pix for tailgate condition). Door jams and spare tire well are very solid. In the past few years, I installed new brakes with rebuilt vacuum booster and master cyl., the fuel tank has been repaired and flushed, a major tune-up including Pertronix electronic ignition, new muffler and tailpipe and a cooling system service including a rod-out of the radiator. The transmission was completely overhauled two years ago but no paperwork to prove it. Some spare moldings, an extra hood and windshield are included. This car has lots of "patina" and is a joy to drive. With it's clean, straight body lines, it would make a unique street rod if time and $$$ allowed. Since old tailgates are prone to rust it was a good time to take pix to show the condition of the gate and surrounding area as I was repairing the gate lock cylinder.
