Vehicle Detail

1946 JEEP / WILLYS CJ2A Runs great, very reliable. Has been converted to 12V. All gauges work except speedometer. Odometer reads 15,765 miles but I do not know the actual miles. Has factory emergency brake and factory foot pedal starter button. Kaiser Super Sonic 4 cyl engine with a T90 standard 3 speed manual transmission. Never had to use the windshield wipers, they are not hooked up. Very minor transmission leak and very slight TOB (throw out bearing) noise. Transmission works fine. Extra parts include a complete transmission with transfer case. 2 individual transfer cases, a drive line and misc. transmission parts. Also the original 6 volt generator. Offers and Questions are welcome. Inspection or test drive by appointment only. Auto transport is available. Send your city name and zip code for a shipping quote. There is no rust from inside or outside the tub that I can see. In the glove box, under the passenger seat you can see the original Michigan Yellow paint under newer paint. You can also see yellow under the tub near the transmission well. It does appear that someone has had the body off and coated the bottom with a black, body undercoating material. (hand painted on and not real thick, so you would know if there was body rot). From the bottom of the vehicle, the tub looks original, solid and no signs of rot or modifications. From the inside of the vehicle the bed is flat sheet metal which I assume is added over the original sheet metal and there is a patch in the floor board on the passenger side that was done so well that I'm not sure you could see it in a picture, but I would be glad to provide pictures of any part of the vehicle that you like. Overall body condition is excellent for a vehicle of it's age. Keep the questions coming, thanks for your interest. On Jul-22-10 at 12:59:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Upon further inspection There is a few pin hole spots of rot on the hat channels under the tub and there is a panel of new sheet metal between the hat channels and the original tub under the floorboard ending at the rear of the front seat. It is impossible to say how much rot there may be underneath the newer panel of sheet metal without taking it apart. I will say that they did an excellent job of repairing whatever was there. One thing is certain, the hat channels have been removed at one time to install the new sheet metal.
