Vehicle Detail

The 1965 year is the last and arguably the best year of the slab side Lincoln Continentals. The only production 4 door convertible ever! Just Like in “entourage” (the popular HBO series). Driving down the road in this 1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible is an amazing experience. Heads will turn and you will see many thumbs up and people commenting on your cool ride. This Car came equipped with power everything, steering, breaks, windows, a/c, door locks, even a power convertible top and power antenna. This car is a project and needs some work to get the accessories working properly but all of the major mechanicals have already been fixed, rebuilt, or replaced and only require minimal tuning to get just right. This car comes with tons of receipts and has documentation of a complete engine and transmission rebuild. The steering gear is rebuilt and the breaks and suspension have been gone through with all worn out components replaced such as, bearings, bushings, break shoes and pads, even a rebuilt break booster. 1965 is the first year for front disc brakes, which is very desirable. The car stops quickly with minimal effort and straight as an arrow. The engine runs strong with plenty of power and easily cruises at 80mph+. The Transmission shifts very smoothly and works just as it should. I recently drove this car over 300 miles from North of Seattle to Portland Oregon and all the major mechanicals, engine, transmission, and breaks worked very well. Though I do believe this car would benefit from a timing and carburetor adjustment. This car came with factory AC though not connected at this time. The factory color for this car is light blue exterior with a light blue interior and an unknown convertible top color. This car has a newer black paint job that looks good from 10 feet and has a newer black vinyl top that is in very good condition. There seems to be little to no rust in the floor pans or quarter panels. The hood seems solid with only mild surface rust and the deck lid has had some bodywork done on the inside due to rust. The deck lid looks presentable on the exterior but for longevity's sake should probably be stripped down to bare mettle and re worked by a good body and paint man. The automatic top mechanics will need some attention to get functioning properly. I'm sure it will need new hydraulic top cylinders which can be purchased new for about $100 each. The top can be erected manually at this time, and the deck lid opens hydraulically with the push of a button. The windows all go up and down but need some attention to get running smoothly and it could use a couple new window switches. The automatic roll down feature for the rear door windows is not working at this time. The Power locks work well, and the Power seat moves slowly and at the least needs lubricated. The Fuel gauge is not working at this time. The underside looks solid with no noticeable rust. This car has well over 100k miles on it and is a project car, so it’s not perfect. But it’s perfectly sound to drive and needs mostly cosmetics and some tinkering with to get everything working properly. Drive it and enjoy it while restoring it. When restored these cars are getting 20-40 K. This car is located in Portland, Oregon and I'm open to helping arrange shipping if necessary. These photos detail the underside and cosmetic imperfections found on the vehicle. I did find a nickle sized rust hole on the floorpan under the passanger side front seat.
