Vehicle Detail
Warning: If you have issues with a salvaged title vehicle, please go no further. Following is a brief history of the van. My Quigley 4x4 van was purchased new by the Ocean County Water Department in New Jersey where it was used as a utility vehicle and serviced in their motorpool. It was sold to a dealer in Toms River, NJ in 2005, which is where I purchased it that year. Orignally it was a work van with Captain's Chairs, AM/FM Casette, windows on the slider and rear doors, but the rear was an empty cargo van, which was perfect since we planned to use it mostly for beach. It was driven cross country in 2005 with no issues what so ever, and on the trip I made an appointment at Quigley, Inc., in Pennsylvania, where they completely inspected the vehicle, replaced any necessary suspension items, performed a 4-wheel alignment, gave it a clean bill of health, and sent it on its way. Since then it has been serviced at MiraMar Ford Truck here in San Diego, CA. (They contract and maintain large truck fleets for SDG&E, Cal Edison, etc.) In February 2009, the van was rear ended at a stop light coming home from the beach, and this is where the salvage title came from. However, the damage was minimal since the car that hit us basically went underneath the rear bumper, due to the height of the van. Because the chassis and drivetrain were in such good condition, I had Miramar Ford Truck replace the bumpers and the fuel tank, and it was good to go again. Earlier this year I decided to upgrade the interior. Again, I spoke to Miramar Ford Truck and they recommended that it would be more cost effective if I found another van, in the condition I was looking for, and had them do a body off conversion, which is what you see today. Excellent job by Miramar. Everything works as it should, but then again this is what they do on a daily basis. The van is equipped with Ford's venerable 351 Windsor V8 and has the E40 Over-Drive transmission with the Ford factory transmission cooler and a new set of Bilstein HD shocks. It is equipped with 4 Captain's Chairs and a removeable rear bench seat, factory A/C and AM/FM with cassette. It has been serviced by Miramar Ford Truck here in San Diego and is a very clean and mechanically solid vehicle.
