Vehicle Detail
I am selling this truck for my Dad. He has had it for about a year and now is wishing he hadn't bought a new one. The '08s apparently don't get the same fuel mileage due to the new EPA stuff. The truck had a small problem last fall that was fixed by the warranty. I don't understand the first thing about diesel engines, so I'll defer you to him for more info. His number is at the bottom of the listing. They have done all the upkeep and the truck should be ready to run lots more trouble free miles. It pulls his huge fifth wheel like a dream. (He took the fifth wheel hitch out and put it in the new truck. Like I said every time he checks the mileage on the new one, he threatens to swap it back. There is a small dent in the rear passenger side and a scuff on the front bumper (see pics) and the truck has normal wear and tear for the age and mileage, but it's a good truck with lots of dependable miles left in it and I am told that the 2 wheel drive diesel is just the ticket for pulling a big trailer and getting good fuel economy. The CD player is a fairly new aftermarket JVC AM/FM single CD as the Ford one quit working. I do want to address the issue of my feedback. It has been perfect until this jerk left me a negative the other day. He bought our old Suburban. His e-bay name is URFUGGED and I guess that’s how it worked out. I agreed to deliver the car to Paris Texas for $50 trying to be nice. It actually cost me more than $60 for the gas. I was gonna be passing through there anyway, so I let my daughter follow me down there in it and it really wasn’t any trouble and he was having a hard time getting up here. He said he’d paypal the $50 delivery fee, and he’d already paid for the car so I just assumed he would. At the last minute my husband wasn’t able to get home in time to sign the title and get it notarized so I had to mail it to him later. After I delivered the car, he never sent the $50. He said he’d mailed a check the day before I e-mailed to ask about it. I knew that probably wasn’t true since the day before was Sunday. I told him I’d mail the title as soon as I got the money and he got irate and said I should just let it go. When I said he had to pay it, he sent it (paypal) and left me the negative feedback. I said in the ad that I’d had the car for a couple of years. I actually only owned it for 23 months. So he said I misrepresented how long I’d owned the car. He also said I misrepresented an ABS problem. We took the car to a mechanic I didn’t know and he put it on the machine and said it was the alternator. We replaced it and the lights came on again so I went to my hometown to a mechanic who I totally trust and he said it was nothing to worry about. The alternator wasn’t as big as the original. “URFUGGED” told me about this problem he’d found when I said I wasn’t willing to let the $50 go. That was the Monday after he picked it up on Saturday. I don’t know how he got it to a mechanic and got the results so quickly and honestly he contradicted himself lots of times in his e-mails so I don’t think he is an honest person. I have sold 5 other cars and quite a few other things on e-bay and nobody else has ever had a problem and I go out of my way to help with delivery, etc. I ask you to please look at my feedback (and the Suburban ad) for yourself. The Xterra I sold since then earned good feedback like everything else has and I'm sure this truck will. You will not be unhappy with this truck. If it isn’t everything I say it is we’ll just cancel the transaction. I am an honest person and to the best of my knowledge, this is a good truck.. My reserve is a low $12000. My husband said in light of our last transaction, I should just let the buyer deal with all things shipping, but if I can help make this easier for someone, I am willing to do so. The nearest airport is Shreveport, LA and the nearest DAS is Minden, LA. We can get it to either of those places for $75. The truck is in Magnolia, AR (at my daughter's house, since my parents (the owners) are full time campers. Please contact me about help with shipping or delivery. My number is (870) 317-6934. If you need specifics on the truck call my parents @ (870) 299-2879. That's my Mom's number, but they are usually together. If you use the buy-it-now, it will require a $500 paypal deposit and if not I will need a $500 paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction close, unless you will be picking it up within 48 hours, in which case I will accept cash for the whole amount. Shipping, of course, would be your expense. Thanks for looking.
