1981 GL500. Always thought these motorcycles looked like the Moto Guzzi knockoffs. They sure ride just as nice. This one had a few modifications. Running very well with no electrical or mechanical issues. Items replaced were instrument gauges at roughly 21,000 miles. Replaced with new unit as seen in pic. Gas tank was replaced with European cafe style. Still retains automatic vacuum fuel shut-off. Also has pit stop style quick fuel fill cap, cafe style bars, bar end mirror with new grips, Clubman style seat with weld-on subframe. Also has cafe style megaphone mufflers. Electrics are under seat and battery is in upper tail section. Equipped with carbon fiber rear turn signals. Also has late model sport bike tail light. And if you will notice in one pic, I am also including a like-new take-off matching rear Dunlop 130/90-16. Carbs have been gone through, bike has always been kept serviced, also with recent tune-up. Not a show bike, but definitely one you can show off. Local pickup is preferred, but will be glad to assist with building a crate or storing for a reasonable time while shipping arrangements are being made. Bike is in temperature controlled indoor storage. When you view pics of the gas tank, the graphics "GL" appear to be yellow. Must be the sunlight playing with the camera, but they are actually orange, the same as the stripe on the wheels. If you will notice the farther away pic, you will see that it is the same color as the wheels.
