Rare 1978 Chrysler Cordoba with original Factory T-tops and original interior! Black with a small red pinstripe…very sharp. Engine is a 400 with a four-barrel ceramic bowl carburetor. The motor and transmission were changed out years ago and the replacement motor was still in the factory crate from Chrysler. The transmission was a Jasper rebuilt. Off the top of my head, I think the new engine might have 3-4 thousand miles on it. The rims are not the more common spoke style. Mileage is 103,XXX and the vehicle is being driven on occasion. The body is in decent shape as the car has been garage-kept since we purchased the car in the late 80’s. The trunk lid has a small spot of rust, although not as much as I’ve seen on many 78’s. The body looks very straight. Mechanically, this is a very smooth ride. It has 4 new tires, and the brakes have all been rebuilt new lines, pads, shoes, etc. Also engine tune-up with carbarator rebuild, new plugs etc all this has been done in the last few months. This would make an EXCELLENT restoration project. A Chrysler salesman told me that only 1100 cars were made with factory T-tops. I can’t vouch for the accuracy of that statement, but I doubt if many came out of Detroit with T-tops. This is the only Cordoba I ever saw with T’s in it. Although the car was gone through recently and has new brakes, lines and other parts, and is currently in good running condition, no warranty is offered or implied.
