Up for auction is my 1999 VW Beetle I have owned the car for approx a year and driven her approx 14000 trouble free miles . I have the oils and filters replaced every 3000 miles This is a basic beetle no frills you get in and go , the car has been awesome and many people have commented that it looks a lot newer than it actually is , the interior is basic and functional . I would be comfortable driving her across country , there are a few small issues that need to be addressed but you can climb in and go regardless . The things I have done recently are as follows , 4 new tyres at approx $500 , I purchased a new battery and recently replaced the starter as it was making a noise but like I say the new one is quiet . The items that will need attention or you can just keep driving her as she is . The roof liner is sagging in the center although you do not really notice it due to the shape of the roof . The A/C works , cold but at idle the compressor can be a little noisy however this has not affected the A/C operation . The black handle to open the hood has been removed , I broke it months ago and never bothered to replace it , I believe it is a $30 part . The electric mirror knob is broken I think I have covered about everything I can think of , I have put the reserve lower than similar cars that do not even run so if you want a car that looks good , drives great for a bargain price this may be just the car for you . She is sold with a clear Florida title which is in hand in my name , the car is free and clear of any liens .
