Check it out. Up for auction is a great example of a well maintained, well cared for 1959 Nash Metropolitan convertible. Originally designed in the mid-fifties as a second family car; this small, classic automobile is perfect for cruising city streets or country roads. The Met is still turning heads and putting smiles on the faces of anyone who sees it. Not only is this car a looker but it is a wonderful driver, mechanically sound, with a very clean interior and great paint (there are a couple paint chips…nothing major). The pictures show how great it looks. As a 1959, this Metropolitan has special features not found in earlier model years……1) wing windows for your cooling comfort and 2) an exterior trunk to allow easy access to storage. This car has been in the possession of its current owner for the last ten years. During this time, the Metropolitan has always had regular maintenance and all repairs performed by University Motors Ltd (www.universitymotorsltd.com). Recent maintenance was just completed in June 2010 that included a complete steering assembly rebuild using a new steering box, new brake hoses were installed and the engine side cover gaskets were replaced. A history of the services and maintenance performed over the last ten years is readily available, please ask. Additional information: All lights, windshield wipers, gauges, etc. work. You will need to supply your own tunes, however, because the original tube radio does not work.
