SUPER SOLID 1979 DODGE TRADESMAN EX-SHOWVAN FROM CALIFORNIA! SELLING AT NO RESERVE!!! ABSOLUTE AUCTION!!! I bought this van from a guy who drove it here from California about a year ago. I intended to completely restore it to it's former show van glory, but I have way too much on my plate, and do not want it to just sit around, since time is death to a vehicle. Before he drove it here, he had the following items replaced, and I have reciepts for most of it: NEW BRAKE CALIPERS ALL THE WAY AROUND NEW BRAKE PADS ALL THE WAY AROUND NEW SHOCKS ALL AROUND NEW ALUMINUM MAG WHEELS NEW TIRES (WITH JUST THE MILES FROM CALI TO HERE ON THEM). L-O-F CARB CLEANING The van is exceptionally solid and rust free, and has NOT been undercoated or anything, so you can see that it is all solid steel everywhere! NO rot, NO holes, NO cancer. It DOES show surface oxidation on the scratches, undercarriage, and bolts, etc. If you take a wire brush to those spots, it comes right off and shows clean metal underneath. It has a handful of scratches, scrapes, dents, and dings, but nothing that will require any major work to make it ready for paint. Real KALIFORNIA KUSTOM INC. rear wing and front sunvisor! It has a 360 V8 with a 727 transmission. Starts and runs fine, and I have started and driven it regularly over the past year, putting over 1,200 miles on it here in town. Smokes a little, leaks a little, but nothing severe. Tranny shifts ok, but could use a refresh if you were going to do what I planned to do and restore it to its former show worthy status. It sometimes stays in first a little long, and it also does not line up with the PRN321 on the column. Interior is wall to wall brown carpeting in average condition over paneling on the sides and roof. Smells like your Grandma's basement at no extra charge! Rear bench and two front buckets that are ripped up and would need recovered to show it, along with the engine cover. Glass is all in place and looks OK. Windows roll up and down, and vents open. Headlights, tail lights, brake lights, signals all work as of this listing. Has factory A/C, but it is not working, so you will need to sort that out as well. Compressor is in place, but does not come on. Fan blows on 2 settings. Can't stress enough that this van DROVE HERE from California, and really does not need much to be a cool ride again. Come see it, come drive it, and I am sure you will want to buy it. Overall, it is a rock solid and rust free California VAN that is ready to be made whole again. Since the whole VANNING trend is hot again in SoCal, it won't be long til it reaches the rest of the country, and you can be the first on the block to roll out hard in your Kustom!
