Engine/Transmission: 6cyl. 2.5- M20 engine- we got the car last year (July 2009) with a cracked oil pan, WE REPLACED the oil pan, timing belt, tensioner, and water pump. The car sounded fine. We've driven it around 1000 miles in the past year (almost 1-year to date) but in that 1000 miles, the lower end of the engine is starting to make noise like a slight rod knock at higher RPM's. Its not terrible but, will need to be fixed. This would be a great car to install an M50 into! The 5-speed transmission shifts great, (car has a UUC short shifter as well) but, the center bearing is going bad and has a vibration in the driveline. We were going to keep the car for a "project car" but, we just have too many "projects" sitting around and no time! (oh yeah, it also has a powder coated valve cover on it)- Bring a trailer to be safe if you are far away. Body/Exterior: The convertible top ("manual" -NON-power top) is in great shape- Nice back window!!! The body is not bad, it does have a few dings, marks, some fading, a cracked front bumper, appears to have been wrecked in the front at one time (not terrible) but, the rad. support has been pulled out and shows signs of repair. The suspension is tight and the brakes are fine. I'm sure there is more that we are missing so PLEASE, ask questions and come see it in person!!! Interior: The car has a PERFECT Dash, and Heated / Sport seats! The whole interior is in good shape. The seats have the typical issues like the drivers side bolster should be repaired and the rear seat also has the typical splitting at the top seams. Most of the options seem to work fine; power windows, OBC, radio, etc...The A/C is not cold and we never really cared to check it out. AGAIN, I'm sure we are forgetting something so PLEASE come see it in person. Overall/ Review: Car needs a little work; engine noise at higher RPM's, vibration from center bearing in driveline and some minor body work... Im SURE there is something we missed so PLEASE COME SEE IT FOR YOURSELF!! Bring a trailer, or drive home at your own risk. If you are serious about this car- PLEASE COME SEE IT IN PERSON.
