Vehicle Detail
I am helping a friend sell this car. If you want to inspect it or talk direct to owner send me contact info - it is located in Northridge, California 91324 Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This Classic 1955 Studebaker Champion is a 6 cyl.L180(186 ci), 3 speed manual transmission - with overdrive, 2 door sedan with 75,345 original miles on it, but only 2,000 miles on the new engine. Engine replaced in 1996 with a New Factory built, just like the original. The electrical system is 6V with Positive ground. The VIN # is G1337823, Body Type 2DSDDXCH with clean Title. It has all original equipment. It has good working windshield wipers and a real good heater. All equipment is working perfect, except the radio is not working. It has been garaged for last 14 years. All the fluids (Gas-Coolant-Oil) were drained at the storage time. Just replaced then about a month ago, Installed new Battery, Fuel Pump, Spark Plugs, Master brake cylinder, bleed the brakes, and put some gas in it. It started up on the first few cranks, and it runs really smooth. (now it start’s on the first crank) I had pressure washed engine, and undercarriage. NO rust, the car was in California from day one till now. The exterior is two tone, body is Lt. Green or (aqua) the top is Dk. Green. The paint is still in good condition. (It was repainted its original aqua color 16 years ago). Chrome needs to be polished. There are some minor paint nicks/scratches. The Hub Caps have some scratches/dings in them. The interior is green carpet, and the seats and headliner in complimentary shades of green. The car is garaged, and the engine, power train, radiator is in great condition, and so is the instrument panel. I have the original owner’s manual. Now for the legalese: the car is being sold as is, with no warranty nor any guarantees provided. The description of the car is as accurate as I can make it. Local pick-up preferred. Any long distance delivery should be arranged and/or consigned with a auto shipping company. This car is a classic and as such should not be driven for a long distance without proper planning.
