Smoke-free owner/driven with mostly under-carriage sheet metal rust spots and some externally evident minor dings/rust spots. Engine has high milage but excellent compression with regular oil changes throughout history. Newer transmission was installed in 2006. Vehicle has been driven less than 3K miles since last year after having tune-up at a so-called foreign car specialist repair shop that caused an idle-speed surging/loping problem. I have had difficulty in trouble-shooting and correcting idle speed surging/loping since. The vehicle has many newer parts installed as follows: brake rotors/pads; clutch system; after-market dash-board cover; Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs; Bilstein high performance gas shocks; AC Scnitzer mag wheels; Ansa Sport free-flow exhaust; Racing Dynamics front spoiler w/ fog lights; M3-style rear wing. Body parts such as front bonnet; rear trunk hood; 4 doors are in good condition. This would be a good deal for an expert BMW mechanic/auto body person willing to take on idle-speed problem. Purchased vehicle used at New Britain, Connecticut in May 1989 investing much over the years with intentions of completely re-conditioning with extensive auto-body repair.
