Vehicle Detail

Don't let the fantastic patina on the outside of this car fool you. All of the body panels are straight and solid save for two tiny holes on the roof...the surface rust came from being abandoned in a storage yard for the last 5 years and the primer burned through. In the interest of domestic bliss I'm putting this one back in the stream. This Lark has undergone a serious but incomplete drag racing...maybe just stupid fast/scary conversion by it's previous owner. All of the steering, suspension, and brakes are re-built including new kingpins plus inexplicably rattle can gold (racing gold?) paint on all the parts that were cleaned and reinstalled. Credit to the builder all of the supercharger conversion parts are, while a bit crude, solidly fabricated. With two Impco Model E propane regulators feeding the supercharger there is theoretically 650hp (possibly up to 800hp if you believe the internet chatter) worth of tire smoking, alternate guard-rail seeking, and scare granny back up onto the sidewalk power possible. The engine is clean like it has been re-built and could possibly has some neat stuff inside but I don't know for sure. Same story with the transmission which appears to have been rebuilt but after sitting this long you can expect to replace the seals or your driveway be covered in weeping ATF. A giant propane tank of dubious heritage fills the entire trunk of the car. The pictures include everything that came piled in the car when we picked it up and will leave with you the happy new owner. All of the trim appears to be included and in is good shape, seat frames are intact, the dash is complete except for the radio, and got four mismatched tires that will hold air for weeks at a time. There is no title for the car you will get a bill of sale only. It was last registered in CA in 1979 and the storage yard we bought it from confirmed it had been off the road for 10 years that they knew about. So good news there, it's certainly out of the DMV computers at this point and will be easy to get a title for. Please ask any questions early and I'm happy to take more pictures of the car if necessary. It'll buff right out, ran when parked, etc, etc...
