Vehicle Detail
1995 K 1100 RS ABS < 30K I bought this bike with 11K on it and as you can see it has less than 30K. This bike comes with 3 Givi hard bags that detach as suitcases. The center bag is a rest for the passenger. It also comes with a full bike cover. The tires have many miles left. I haven’t put many miles on since I purchased the tires a few years ago. The wind shield is fabulous. It is just high enough to throw the wind off the top of the helmet so it’s easy to ride with an open mask and just glasses. It does a great job of keeping the road off of your body and clothes and best of all it extends your riding season. I start riding in March and end in late November. That windshield is such a joy for long trips also because it keeps the wind off of your chest and you are not resisting the wind all day long. There are two seats. Currently the one in the photo is the stock seat, but there is also a Corbin seat. It came with the bike when I purchased it, but the few cracks because of the wear and tear allowed water in and get the cushions wet. The corbin seat looks cool and I know the reupholstering of that seat would cost around $185. In addition there are two exhaust pipes. The stock pipe shows little use. The pike that’s on the bike is the Staintune exhaust pipes. Last year the clutch cable broke while on a trip. I borrowed a trailer to bring it to the dealer. While traveling to the dealer the trailer hit a bump on the highway and the bike fell over on its side, but remained on the trailer. The result was a slight crack in the fabric of the faring, it is in one of the photos, and the battery cover came off. Some one stopped to help me right the bike and I was grateful and continued to the dealer. I didn’t realize the batter cover was missing until it was too late. Otherwise, this bike is in great shape. When asked how fast the bike is?; my response is: I don’t know, it goes faster than I can go. I know I can cruise at 80+mph and effortlessly crank it up to 100 mph to pass and there is always more left. I have to tell you I love the gearing on the bike. I can approach a light in 5th gear, slow down to 1000 rpm and when the light changes, just throttle up to cruising speed again without going through the gears. Not many bikes can do that. The bike also has a throttlemeister. It’s very helpful for those long drives or if you are the type that grips too firmly.
